Mittauer & Associates, Inc. is seeking candidates who are looking to grow their careers and work on a variety of water and wastewater projects in a collaborative, financially stable work environment with other high-quality motivated engineers and professional support staff. Projects will span from small wastewater collection or water distribution projects to multi-millions of gallons per day water and wastewater treatment facilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter with 4 to 10 years of water and wastewater experience that will allow for significant professional and career growth.
Salary & Benefits:
$80,000 to $140,000 commensurate with experience.

General Responsibilities:
Provide engineering design and consulting services for small to medium-sized municipalities, utilities, and counties throughout the State of Florida. Responsibilities may include:
Engineering design.

Design and development of plans and specifications, including coordination with other disciplines such as civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation.
Site inspections
Permitting
Engineering reports
Construction administration services
Experience & Skills:
The candidate must be a highly motivated, versatile individual and have experience in the following fields:
Water & Wastewater Treatment Facility Design.
Water Distribution Systems.
Wastewater Collection Systems.
Utility Relocations.
Computer Application Skills:
Experience with the following software programs is preferred:
Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, & Word).
WaterCAD.
BioWin.
Proficiency in similar modeling platforms will be acceptable.
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering is required and a graduate engineering degree is preferred.

Two multi-million dollar projects designed by Mittauer & Associates and funded by USDA Rural Development will be under construction within the next 60 days - City of Lawtey Wastewater Collection Facilities Improvements project for $4.4 million & Town of Bronson Wastewater System Extensions project for $2 million. Once completed, these two projects will bring tremendous growth and economic opportunities to our client communities.
FUNDING UPDATE – The Suwannee River Water Management District recently awarded grant monies to 11 communities in the State of Florida in the amount of $1.5 million through the 2014 RIVER Cost-share Program. Through our assistance, 6 of our clients received funding for needed utility improvements projects in their communities. The total grant award to our clients was $400,000. We are excited about this new grant opportunity that is available to our client communities.

Today marks the close of the DEO CDBG 6-week funding cycle for Federal Fiscal Year 2013. Our team successfully designed 9 NR projects in a 6-week timeframe to assist our clients in obtaining extra points on their CDBG applications. The CDBG program has approximately $9 million set aside in the Neighborhood Revitalization category in this funding cycle. Due to our team’s tremendous effort, many of our clients are now positioned to qualify for this competitive funding.
